Privacy Policy

This site is the personal portfolio of Ryan Nugara, operating as Grupo Nugara, based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It exists to share my work and let people get in touch. There are no accounts, no comments, no checkouts — nothing you can submit through it. This page explains the small amount of data that is collected anyway, why, and what you can do about it.
What this site collects
- Server / request logs (Cloudflare). Every request to this site passes through Cloudflare. Cloudflare records standard request data — IP address, user agent, page requested, timestamp, response status — for delivery, caching, and basic security. See Cloudflare's privacy notice.
- Google Analytics 4. GA4 is used to understand visitor behaviour in aggregate — pages viewed, country, device type, traffic source. It sets cookies (
_ga,_ga_*) in your browser and sends data to Google. The default GA4 settings are used, with IP anonymisation, no Google Signals, and no advertising features. Data retention is configured to 14 months. See Google's privacy policy.
What this site does not collect
- No forms, accounts, sign-ups, comments, or messages — there is nothing on this site that lets you submit personal information.
- No advertising trackers, remarketing pixels, or cross-site profiling.
- No payment information of any kind.
- No data is sold to anyone, ever.
Cookies
The only cookies set by this site are from Google Analytics 4, used to measure aggregate visitor behaviour. You can:
- Block cookies in your browser settings.
- Install Google's official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Use a browser like Brave or Firefox with strict tracking protection.
Third parties
- Google — Google Analytics (visitor analytics) and Google Fonts (font delivery).
- Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, TLS, and security at the edge.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights over data about you — including under the EU and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act 2022. These can include the right to access, correct, or delete data, and to object to or restrict processing.
To exercise any of these rights, or just to ask a question about what is collected, email ryan@gruponugara.com and I will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
Google Analytics retains visitor data for 14 months. Cloudflare retains short-term request logs per its own policy. No other data is stored by this site.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change with it. Material changes will be noted clearly.
