Role
Concept, art direction and the full interactive build.

Design exploration built as a sales demonstration — explicitly a concept, not commissioned client work.

Recreated interfaceIllustrative composition with representative demo data — not a customer screenshot.

The problem

Fine jewellery is usually sold online with a grid and a buy button — which throws away the one thing a jeweller's vitrine does well: pacing. The concept: could a single product page earn attention the way the glass case does?

Constraints

  • A five-figure piece: the honest conversion is a conversation, not a cart
  • Cinematic pacing without ever hijacking the scroll
  • Has to hold up on mid-range phones, not just a studio display

The approach

A chaptered scroll narrative around one signature ring: provenance, materiality, craft, then a single conversion moment — a direct-message CTA rather than a checkout, matching how high-consideration jewellery actually sells in this market. Real scroll choreography with a hard rule against hijacking: native scrolling, always.

What was built

  • A chaptered cinematic scroll experience with WebGL-lit product staging
  • Editorial art direction — restrained palette, serif-led type, generous pacing
  • A single direct-message conversion CTA instead of a checkout
  • Mobile-optimised choreography with a lighter motion budget
  • Lightweight visit analytics on a protected, unlisted deployment used for pitching

Contribution

  • Art Direction
  • Interaction Design
  • Frontend Development

Technical decisions

DM beats cart

For a five-figure piece in this market, the honest conversion is a conversation. The CTA opens a direct message — measurable, human, and true to how these sales close.

Outcome

  • A deployed, protected concept used as a sales demonstration
  • A reusable pattern: the same narrative structure now informs other high-consideration builds

Current status

ConceptConcept — live on a protected preview as a pitch demonstration; not commissioned.

Lessons

Scroll choreography is pacing, not decoration — the moment it fights the reader's thumb, the spell breaks.

Next stage

If a jeweller commissions it, the narrative frame is ready to carry real product photography and provenance content.
